Welcome to Parkside
About Parkside San Francisco: Homes for Sale
Parkside San Francisco is a nice and quiet neighborhood especially well-suited for families. It is well known for its parks, cultural events and free music concerts hosted in the beautiful Stern Grove.
The Parkside as a neighborhood started in July 1905 when a syndicate led by William Crocker announced they had quietly bought land from the estate of Adolph Sutro and others to create a new million-dollar development. A large shopping center, Stonestown Galleria offers hundreds of shops, with large retailers such as Macy’s and Nordstrom. Parkside San Francisco is closed to a major MUNI route that spans from the Oceanside San Francisco Zoo all the way to downtown San Francisco.
The boundaries of the Parkside San Francisco consist of Quintara Street on the north, Sloat Boulevard on the south, 36th Avenue/Sunset Boulevard on the west, and a diagonal eastern boundary line that abuts on the former Rancho San Miguel property, running from 12th Avenue on the north to 19th Avenue and Sloat on the south.

Where to Eat and Drink in the Sunset
Life in the Sunset has its advantages. The rest of the city sees a far-off ‘hood full of fog and surfers, but those who live there know that they’re sitting on some of the best eating in the city.
